Physicians:


Timothy E. Pitts, DPM
is a native of Valdosta. Dr. Pitts received his Bachelor of Science Degree from Valdosta State University in 1985. He received his Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine Degree in 1989, at Pennsylvania College of Podiatric Medicine now known as Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine. Dr. Pitts continued his training by completing a three year surgical residency in reconstructive foot and ankle surgery at Northlake Regional Medical Center in Atlanta. He returned to Valdosta in 1992, to join Valdosta Podiatry Associates, P.C. In 2002, Dr. A.R. (Buddy) Pitts, Jr. fully retired and Dr. Timothy Pitts became the sole owner of the practice. Dr. Pitts is Board Certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and is a Diplomat of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgery. He is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association and the Georgia Podiatric Medical Association. Dr. Pitts is a faculty member of the Podiatry Institute; a non-profit educational foundation that has achieved national and international recognition for its leading role in developing and advancing the standard of care in podiatric medicine and surgery.




Rodney A. Raker, DPM
is a native of Newnan, Georgia. Dr. Raker received a Bachelor of Science Degree from Valdosta State University in1995. Dr. Raker attended the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio and received his Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine in 1999; Dr. Raker continued his training by completing two years of residency at Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Pennsylvania. Dr. Raker’s professional interest is in biomechanics, diabetic wound care, prevention, and non-surgical treatment of the foot and ankle. Dr. Raker is Board Certified by the American Board of Medical Specialties in Podiatry. He is also a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association and the Georgia Podiatric Medical Association




A.R. (Buddy) Pitts, Jr., DPM
 is a native of Columbus , Georgia .  Dr. Pitts began his podiatry practice in Valdosta in 1956.  At that time, he was the only podiatrist between Jacksonville , Florida , and Macon , Georgia .  In 1987, Dr. Pitts formed Valdosta Podiatry Associates, P.C. and in 1992, his son, Dr. Timothy E. Pitts joined the practice.  Dr. A.R. Pitts, Jr. fully retired in June of 2002.
